Load Testing
RWH oversees and performs testing and stressing of strand and threadbar tieback shoring anchors, micropiles (tension and compression), helicals (tension and compression) and caissons (compression). Performance load tests are completed to confirm design adhesions and prove ultimate load capacities. Proof stressing is completed on production piles and shoring anchors to verify installation techniques and confirm the bond resistance.
To provide more efficient designs and reduce design redundancies, RWH believes in confirming design assumptions through load testing programs specifically tailored to each project. The advantage of load testing is it allows for shortening of anchor and micropile lengths and increase in bearing capacities for decreased caisson diameters bringing both cost and schedule savings projects.
