The Mississauga Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Project is a dedicated roadway for bus travel. At its completion, the Mississauga BRT Project will stretch 18 km from Winston Churchill Boulevard to Renforth Drive.
RWH Engineering Inc. (RWH), in conjunction with T. H. O’Rourke Structural Consultants Inc., designed all shoring and caisson work to accommodate the construction of transit stations, bridge underpasses and overpasses, and below-grade roadways. Alternative to the tendered design, RWH used shotcrete for roadway protection systems and two-sided shoring for bridge underpass/overpass construction. This design realized many cost and schedule savings for the owner.
