The Seniors Condominium in King City, in the York region north of Toronto, required shoring as the excavation was to cut into a large slope near the building. RWH Engineering Inc. (RWH) designed an innovative bypass shotcrete shoring system of approximately 8,500 SF.
The design utilized one row of tiebacks with a soldier pile and bypass shotcrete lagging. The dense, silty sand soils coupled with the bypass shotcrete system resulted in efficient shoring installation. RWH’s experience with shotcrete shoring results in the most efficient shoring design for each specific job.
